Moroccan design is very likely to blow your mind and other people's minds away. It is probably the strong and attractive colors, the orientalism and the beauty. I would not say that all that is labeled Moroccan design or Moroccan inspired is truly and solely Moroccan. Some of it might as well be labeled oriental design. Oriental has indeed a charm as it inspires stories, dreams and magic. This design style is focused on a multitude of shapes and curves intertwined to form reproducible and symmetrical geometric patterns that fill in spaces and surfaces. this makes oriental and Moroccan design very ornate and charming. Where can we find Moroccan design? We have found it in home decoration, either as a complete room or house or simply as a decorative element such as a teapot or a team cup for example.Famous designer Yves Saint Laurent for example owned a property in Marrakesh that is famous for its design. The photo below is a window and a wall from this property that is called Marjorelle Gardens We can also probably find Moroccan design in fashion as well.
لقد لاحظت مؤخراً ان الناس يعشقون ويحبون التصميم المغربي. ولابدّ ان الالوان القوية واللمسة الشرقية والجمال هم الاسباب الاساسية لهذا الشغف.فاللمسة الشرقية لديها سحرٌ خاص لانها توحي بقصص الف ليلة وليلة والخيال والاحلام. واجد ان ما يسميه الناس التصميم المغربي قد يكون تصميماٌ شرقياٌ بصورة عامة في بعض الاحيان وينطبق هذا على التسميات الغربية بالاخصّ. فان هذا التصميم يتميز بتعددية الاشكال والاشكال المتوازية والمتزاوجة والتي تعبئ المساحات بجميع قياساتها وهذا ما يجعل هذا النوع من التصميم بغاية الروعة مع زخرفته المتطورة. لذى سألنا انفسنا: اين يمكن ان نجد التصميم المغربي؟ اننا يمكن ان نجده في تصميم المنزل حيث اننا وجدنا بيوتاٌ كاملةً صممت باستعمال هذا النمط كبيت المصمم العالمي “ايف سان لوران” و"بيار برجه" ووجدنا ايضاٌ التصميم المغربي في اجزاء محددة من الديكورات المنزلية كمرآة او ابريق شاي. وبامكاننا ان نجد التصميم المغربي في عالم الازياء ايضاّ وهنا نعرض عليكم ما لفت انتباهنا وما احببناه من وحي هذا النمط التصميمي. ان الصورة الاولى ادناه هي صورة لنافذة وحائط من بيت "ايف سان لوران" في مراكش
Other photos that attracted our attention were photos of a beautiful hotel in Marrakesh called La Sultana. We could only see colors and Moroccan luxury. We also saw ornate design and oriental warmth. This was enough to have us wish that we were on vacation in Morocco or that we owned a bedroom or a living area with such colors and atmosphere.
اما الصور الاخرى التي لفتت انتباهنا هي صورة فندق موجود في مراكش واسمه لا سولتانا. انها صور رأينا فيها الواناٌ رائعة وفخامة مغربية وتصميم جميل مزخرف ودفئ . فتمنينا ان انذهب الي المغرب في عطلة او ان نصمم غرفةً باستعمال هذا النمط وهذه الالوان
What is striking about Moroccan decoration is the amount of small details that mesh together to make a beautiful coherent whole. Artisans clearly spend hours and hours diligently and creatively working to produce such pieces. At Walt Disney World in Orlando, the Morocco Pavilion at the Epcot center has a distinctive architecture. We see beautiful wood work and tiling. And we can indeed find bits and pieces of this style in other parts of the Middle East.
وما يتميز به الديكور المغربي هو كمية التفاصيل الصغيرة التي تجتمع لتصمم قطعة فنية موحدة. فلا بدّ ان المصممين والحرفيين يقضون اوقاتً طويلة جداً في العمل على هذه القطع الفنية. ومثلٌ آخرٌ من ديكورٍ سُميَ مغربي هو الجناح المغريبي في الابكوت سنتر في والت ديزني. نرى في الصورة ادناه بلاط وخشب رائعين. وبامكننا ان نجد ديكوراً شبيه بهذا الديكور في اماكن اخري في الشرق الاوسط ايضاً
And thinking Morocco and Moroccan is thinking Moroccan tea. Poured from heights above the tea cup, it falls into the glass and creates bubbles. It has an exquisite taste and is so famous and traditional that Moroccan tea pots have become a celebrity as well. Made with ornate metal and a round and sleek design, the tea pot below is a tea pot offered in a Moroccan restaurant in London.
ومن يفكر بالمغرب يفكر ايضاً بالشاي المغربي. فان هذا الشاي يتميز بطريقة تقديمه الخاصة حيث يُسكب في الكوب من ارتفاعٍ عالٍ جداً ليكون رغوة على سطحه. وهو شاي ذات طعمٌ رائعٌ وشهرة فائقة حتى ان ابريق الشاي المغربي اصبح مشهوراّ ايضاّ. ان الصورة في الاسفل اُخذت في مطعمٍ مغربيٍ في لندن وهو الشاي المغربي

How about food? Moroccans are known for delicious food served in very distinctive pots and dishes. Below is a photo taken by Agnieszka and originally posted to Flickr as Morocco food. It is very basic yet simply beautiful!

We end with a wooden panel carved with a beautiful design dubbed Moroccan by Mikolaj Pasinski. It can also be called oriental more generally as it is a design that can be seen in various other artistic works that originate from the Middle East as well. The orange color and gold colors gives this artistic piece a lot of classiness and character.
